Honda selects Halomec
Honda Engineering has selected Halomec to design and supply a bespoke lubrication system for their manufacturing facility in Swindon.
The system will provide fully automated lubrication a new robotic spot welding transfer line which moves vehicle bodies through the welding process.
The lubrication system ensures that optimum lubrication is maintained on specific parts of the transfer system throughout the production shift.
Working with Honda's team of specialist production engineers, Halomec was able to design an automated system based around the Lincoln 203 series lubrication pump. The system will be integrated into the production line control system and provide accurate feedback on the status of the system throughout the period of operation.
Julian Athawes of Halomec, reported that, 'he was delighted to be working with such a high profile leading manufacturer and that it was a testament to the Lincoln product and the design and integration engineering skills that Halomec is able to offer'.
