Quarry Technology Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for a quarry industry professional to make a difference in the UK quarrying sector.
 
Trimble Inc. have recently launched Loadrite Insight total quarry productivity measurement software.  This cloud-based software underpins the existing and well-proven Loadrite weighing and performance measurement technology.
 
As Loadrite's UK partner, Halomec now seeks to appoint a committed industry professional to help promote this technology, throughout the UK.
 
The successful candidate will likely be qualified to degree level with operations management experience to Assistant Quarry Manager/Quarry Manager level, or equivalent, or have a proven track record of solution/technology business development, within the sector.  Good communication skills are vital as is an ability to understand quarry processes.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in developing a strategy for the promotion of Loadrite Connected Quarry
  • Identify, build relationships with and, promote Connected Quarry Solutions
  • Engage with quarry operators and present the Loadrite Connected Quarry vision
  • Survey quarries and determine where we can add value.
  • Make commercial proposals and follow up
  • Oversee the implementation of technology and provide on-going optimisation input, which should in turn lead to repeat business.
 
Relationships and Roles:

  • Report directly to the MD
  • To create and foster excellent relationships with potential and existing clients
  • To interact and cooperate with all company employees.
  • To build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on delivery to customers, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.

Your Profile

  • Experience: 3+ years, proven track record of quarry management and optimisation.
  • Confidence: you will have a total confidence in your ability to develop new clients and market segments
  • Capability: to understand complex integrated solutions and be able to communicate and sell the benefits
  • Communication: ability to gain understanding of customer requirements and communicate solutions and benefits
  • Resourcefulness: you will be expected to think outside of the box to deliver
  • Composure: with many contact points you will have the ability to remain calm, effective and efficient under pressure
  • Diligence: our brand must be managed throughout all customer experiences
  • Efficiency: you will work efficiently in all of your actions and you must be organised
  • Flexibility: As a growing privately owned company, you should posses the ability to be flexible in how you work to achieve your objectives.

  • IT competence including Microsoft Office products
  • Central UK Based
  • Full UK driving licence
 
Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience of sales desirable but not essential; we can help with the selling part of the job.

Field Installation and Service Engineer - Midlands

Primary Responsibilities
  • Installation of Lincoln Automatic Lubrication Systems  and Loadrite Weighing Systems on heavy plant

Secondary Responsibilities
  • Field Service of lubrication systems
  • Installation of Calibration and operator training on weighing systems

Nature of Work
  • Home-based covering local patch with occasional requirement to cover other UK areas, with nights away from home
  • Requirement to work weekday overtime

Essential Requirements
  • Knowledge of heavy plant, how to manoeuvre it safely and the industries it operates in
  • Fitting experience
  • Ability to problem solve and work on own initiative
  • Competent welder- stick/MIG
  • Good communicator with positive attitude
  • Team player
  • Flexible approach to working hours with guaranteed minimum equivalent to 40 hrs per week
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Home Location Staff/Derbs/Notts/Shrops/Glos

Desirable (but not essential) Requirements
  • Experience of automatic lubrication system installation/service (full training will be given)
  • Experience of Quarry Industry
  • Clean driving licence
