We had an amazing evening at the Construction Plant-hire Association’s very first Gala Dinner at St George’s Hall in Liverpool this week. The venue was stunning, the atmosphere was buzzing, and it was great to be surrounded by so many people who genuinely care about where our industry is heading. Catching Up With Industry Leaders One of the highlights of the night was catching up with Steve Mulholland, CEO of the CPA, along with plenty of familiar faces from across the construction and plant-hire world. It’s always refreshing to chat with people who share the same ambitions around innovation, sustainability and innovation. Halomec, Hiboo & CPA — The 3 Musketeers? At Halomec and Hiboo, we’re big supporters of the CPA’s mission, especially when it comes to decarbonisation and improving how fleets are managed. With our work bringing Hiboo’s powerful telematics tools to the UK market, we’re helping plant-hire businesses understand their equipment better — from utilisation and idle time to fuel use and CO₂ emissions. Together with Luis Bassett and our collaboration with the CPA, we're driving progress towards a greener future. A Big Thanks to the CPA Team Huge thanks to the entire CPA team for putting together such a fantastic event. The evening was inspiring, full of great conversations, and definitely something we’re already looking forward to next year. We left feeling energised, optimistic and excited about the direction the industry is moving — and proud to be playing our part in it! Want to chat about how Halomec and Hiboo are helping plant-hire companies work smarter and greener? We’re always happy to talk.

It was a pleasure to be part of the event where they were showcasing their machinery range, and to cement our strong relationship; Oliver Landpower’s commitment to their partners and customers shone through. Their pledge to quality service and innovation was clear throughout the day, from the well-organised displays to the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It was a lovely day out for the Halomec team, and we really enjoyed catching up with familiar faces, and celebrating the agricultural and construction community. A big thanks to Oliver Landpower for having us! We’ve just wrapped up an exciting few days at Bauma 2025 in Munich—and as always, it didn’t disappoint.
From the sheer scale of the event to the energy across every hall, Bauma once again proved why it’s the place to be for anyone in construction and heavy equipment. For us at Halomec, it was the perfect opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, see the latest innovations, and have some truly forward-thinking conversations. A particular highlight was reconnecting with our trusted partners at SKF Lincoln. Their lubrication systems are an integral part of what we do, and it was great to see their team and their latest tech drawing in the big crowds. It’s always a pleasure to share our journey with companies that continue to be at the forefront of construction innovation. But the standout moment for us came during a chat with the ever-insightful Peter Haddock, who’s always at the cutting edge of what’s happening in construction technology. He spoke at length to Blackwood Plant Hire’s Managing Director, Paul McCormack about their exciting move to adopt Hiboo—a smart equipment data platform that’s changing the game when it comes to fleet visibility and decision-making. Blackwood’s use of Hiboo is a perfect example of how forward-thinking businesses are embracing digital tools to gain a competitive edge. With Hiboo’s real-time data insights, they’re improving equipment management, boosting productivity, and taking a big step toward more sustainable, efficient operations. At Halomec, we’re thrilled to see our partners leading the way in this space. These are the kinds of conversations that remind us why we do what we do—helping our customers work smarter, not harder. Thanks to everyone who made Bauma 2025 such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
