Halomec is expanding its range of services by integrating Hiboo’s fleet management platform into its product and service portfolio. This enables users, notably those renting out equipment, to gather data from equipment on to a single web-based dashboard, whatever the manufacturer or type. By adapting itself to the specific needs of the British market, mainly driven by plant hire, Hiboo is helping to optimise the productivity and energy efficiency of offhighway fleets, and therefore enabling both rental and their client to make more agile and efficient use of equipment.
Thanks to Hiboo, plant operators can access key indicators of utilization and efficiency, such as idling, fuel consumption, fault conditions and real CO2 emissions, where reductions as high as 20% have been demonstrated. Halomec has considerable expertise in the field of heavy industry, mobile plant and harsh environments, which positions the company uniquely to deploy Hiboo solutions. This strategic partnership with Halomec also means that the Hiboo platform will be optimised to meet the distinct needs of the UK and Irish markets. Although plateaued at present, the off-highway sector in the United Kingdom and Ireland is forecast for accelerated growth, which will be driven by the urgent need for investment in transport infrastructures, energy and housing projects.
